چکیده

Abstract BACKGROUND Although histologically distinct, gliosarcomas and glioblastomas are treated according to the same standards. Fibroblast-activation-protein (FAP) is a component of tumor-specific subpopulation fibroblasts that play critical role in tumor growth invasion. Few case studies suggest an elevated expression FAP glioblastoma particularly strong gliosarcoma, possibly for its predominant mesenchymal differentiation. However, prognostic impact gliosarcoma unclear. Question:What clinical relevance FAP-expression how does it correlate with FAPI46-PET-uptake? METHODS In retrospective analysis, patients diagnosed were enrolled. Histological examination was performed using immunohistochemical FAP-staining quantitative analysis standardized FAP-Score (0 3,with higher values indicating stronger expression). subset patients, FAPI46-PETs have been performed. The SUV planned be correlated tissue. Data obtained from brought into perspective clinically relevant factors, including survival estimates. RESULTS A total 45 On staining, expressed significantly more (average FAP-Score,2.3) than FAP-Score,0.7,p< 0.0001). While confined perivascular space, neoplastic cells themselves -in addition extracellular matrix- FAP. Initial analyses indicate tissue tracer uptake on FAPI46-PET. Further correlation data currently underway. CONCLUSIONS This study indicates much abundant as opposed glioblastomas. could open not only diagnostic but also therapeutic gap. association FAP-tissue FAPI46-PET will reported at time abstract presentation.

Diagnostic and Prognostic Significance of Methionine Uptake and Methionine Positron Emission Tomography Imaging in Gliomas

The present most common image diagnostic tracer in clinical practice for glioma is 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) for brain tumors diagnosis and prognosis. PET is a promising molecular imaging technique, which provides real-time information on the metabolic behavior of the tracer. The diffusive nature of glioblastoma (GBM) and heterogeneity often make the radiog...

commonly combined with computed tomography (CT), is widely used in the initial evaluation and response assessment of patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL). Its sensitivity for nodal and extranodal sites of disease can add to the staging information obtained with CT alone, and PET is valuable in the response assessment at the end of front-line therapy because it can distinguish active disease fr...

Prognostic Significance of Standardized Uptake Value on 18Fluorine-Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography in Patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic significance of standardized uptake value (SUV) on 18 fluorine-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Thirty-four patients who have histologically proven NPC and underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT were included in this study. After 18F-FDG PET/CT, all th...

Imaging Cellular Proliferation in Prostate Cancer with Positron Emission Tomography

Prostate cancer remains a major public health problem worldwide. Imaging plays an important role in the assessment of disease at all its clinical phases, including staging, restaging after definitive therapy, evaluation of therapy response, and prognostication. Positron emission tomography with a number of biologically targeted radiotracers has been demonstrated to have potential diagnostic and...

Diabetes and Vascular 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography Uptake

Atherosclerosis remains the leading cause of death in North America and Europe. During the natural course of atherosclerosis, inflammation plays a major role in the development of complex plaque lesions containing activated macrophages, foam cells, T lymphocytes, mast cells, and a necrotic lipid-rich core (1). When such a plaque becomes unstable due to uncontrolled inflammation and thinning of ...
